Ram’s Lila will introduce you to a part of the city that is across the river from Varanasi. For centuries the Maharajas of Varanasi have lived outside of the city proper while ruling Varanasi from afar. You will see one of the most beautiful temples in the Varanasi region and check out the slightly musty collection of the Maharajah, including historic motorcars.

The area surrounding the Fort Palace is teeming with interesting people and stories. We trek around the exterior to have a look at the king’s special bathing embankment, meet the fishermen and other locals doing their thing. Our boat will be waiting for us and you can enjoy the return ride as you soak in the things that you have experienced.

  • The perfect activity for a solo woman traveller. As a solo woman traveling for the first time in Varanasi, hiring a guide from the Varanasi Walks was the best decision. Walking with Nomi allowed me to understand, discover and feel Varanasi in a way that would of not been possible on my own.

  • Incredible! Best way to experience Varanasi! There is no other way to experience Varanasi – taking a Varanasi Walks Tour is a MUST! Anyone visiting Varanasi should book a tour with Varanasi Walks – it is worth it 10,000 times.

  • Well worth the money! What fabulous tours! I totally enjoyed all of the tours I arranged through Varanasi Walks which included two boat tours and two walking tours. The tours were well paced and my guide Mr. Amrit was a wealth of information. I learned so much about Hindi traditions, Varanasi culture and history.
