Beginning at the cosmic centre of Kashi, the city of light, you will get familiar with rite and ritual by exploring ancient pathways to the temples and mosques of Hindus & Muslims. Observe the age old cremation rituals at Manikarnika and hear the story of how all life began!

The walk is an exploration of the traditional sacred centre of Varanasi. If possible we will show you the outside of Kashi Vishwanath, the holiest spot for Hindus visiting Kashi. Come seek the original foundations of the city of light as we traverse winding paths through Shiva’s court!

  • The perfect activity for a solo woman traveller. As a solo woman traveling for the first time in Varanasi, hiring a guide from the Varanasi Walks was the best decision. Walking with Nomi allowed me to understand, discover and feel Varanasi in a way that would of not been possible on my own.

  • Incredible! Best way to experience Varanasi! There is no other way to experience Varanasi – taking a Varanasi Walks Tour is a MUST! Anyone visiting Varanasi should book a tour with Varanasi Walks – it is worth it 10,000 times.

  • Well worth the money! What fabulous tours! I totally enjoyed all of the tours I arranged through Varanasi Walks which included two boat tours and two walking tours. The tours were well paced and my guide Mr. Amrit was a wealth of information. I learned so much about Hindi traditions, Varanasi culture and history.
