Forest of Bliss

Full Day Tour or Multi Day Tour in Varanasi

Join us for a set of discounted tour combinations of walks, boat rides & yoga throughout the day in Varanasi.

Banaras was known as Anandavan, the Forest of Bliss because people who arrived never wanted to leave.

We craft full day tours (3 or 4 experiences) that begin with a sunrise boatride, followed by breakfast on your own, then a morning walk. After lunch another walking tour or yoga experience in the afternoon and ending with evening boatride.

Yes 3 - 4 tours in one day can be exhausting and travel times don’t always work out perfectly, so why not take a 2 or 3 day tour with us and we will help you organise all the details.

Sarnath Buddhist Excursion

Get some fresh air 10km outside the city with us at the ruins of Sarnath, where the Buddha met his five disciples and gave his first sermon!

Come take a fresh breath of air outside Varanasi on the Sarnath Buddhist Excursion.

This is the site where the Buddha met his five disciples and gave his first teaching after enlightenment, the turning of the dharma chakra, the wheel of law or reality. Meaning, it’s the place where Buddhism began!

Travel with us to the ruins of Sarnath, Mauryan period brickwork, the amazing museum and visit the surrounding temples of various countries associated with Buddhism.

Village of the Gods

Full Day taxi tour to Vindhyachal Temple Complex

Drive with us 3 hrs to the ancient village shrines of Vindhyachal & visit the rarely seen Mirzapur ghats nearby.

Ninety kilometres from Varanasi, next to the town of Mirzapur, is the ancient site of Vindhyachal. Primarily a seat of the Goddess, which is called a shaktipeeth, this 25 square kilometre area is replete with powerful temples, vibrant power spots for meditation and ritual worship. Originally thought to be the place Sati resides after being cut into 51 pieces and where she lives to this day!

From there we visit Kali Koh, a temple of the mother goddess Kali as well as various other temples & wells of renowned importance. A stop in Mirzapur, as desired, to view the small ghats on the banks of the Ganga can also be included.

We will enjoy a picnic lunch while visiting this incredible sacred location that few tourists manage to explore.

The Sacred Circle: Panchkoshi Yatra

Half Day taxi tour along the Panchkoshi Yatra pilgrimage route 

Immerse yourself in the Varanasi pilgrim experience and visit marvelous ancient temples that you would never see otherwise! 

The Panchkoshi Yatra is a 13th century pilgrimage route (yatra) that circumnavigates the holy City of Varanasi; as one travels the road clockwise in a circle, keeping the city on one’s right, the city itself becomes both sacred image and temple. 

This road is walked by thousands of devotees as Panchkoshi Yatra for one week every year. Traditionally walked over five days, however, we would visit the entire perimeter of five sacred stops within a half day journey by taxi, which begins in an urban area, becoming progressively rural and finally returning to the city at the end.

If you would like a unique experience with the comfort of a car and light walking this is the one for you!

Temple of the Sage & Pond of the Skull

1.5 - 2hr. taxi tour to the outskirts of Varanasi

Two fantastic hard to reach temples on the edge of Varanasi. One named after the great sage Kapila and one named for Brahma’s skull!

A fantastic journey to lesser know sites around the edges of our city. Come and see where the skull of Brahma fell off of the hand of Bhairava and then travel out to a mysterious pond in the middle of a village where the great sage Kapila sat and meditated.

You will also get to see some of the lush countryside in the Northern area of the city. Perfect to add on or before a trip to Sarnath as there is a direct road saving so much time!

Ram’s Lila: Ram Nagar Fort & Temple Visit

1.5 - 2hr. taxi tour across the river

Ram Nagar is the village of the Kashi Naresh, the Maharajah of Varanasi. A visit to the great Durga Temple, Sumeru Devi and the palace.

Ram's Lila will introduce you to the Maharaja’s town of Ramnagar that is across the river from Varanasi.

For centuries the Maharajas of Kashi have lived outside of the city proper while ruling Varanasi from across the river. You will see the slightly musty collection of the Palace Fort museum, including historic motorcars and a unique astrological clock.

The area surrounding the Fort Palace such as the fish market & wrestling ring are teeming with interesting stories, and the highlight of the trip is Sumaru Devi, one of the most beautiful temples in the Varanasi region.
