Timing of departure is generally 8AM & 2PM to avoid the hectic traffic.

Please wear comfortable clothing and shoes may need to be removed in some temple areas.

Photography is generally allowed, but restricted in some temples.

Walking Tour

Far away from the riverside we visit old residential areas, smoky temples & traditional shops in these unseen middle of the city interiors.

This walk takes you through the unseen interiors of the centre of the old city away from the riverside.

Walk from historic buildings to the ancient pond of a demon who held a boon from Shiva to enter the city and gain salvation. His head remains as the main object of worship.

From there we move through the little known lanes, temple courtyards & ponds surrounded by classic architecture and places that time forgot.
